Overview:
Klubb Död (Stockholm) collaborates with PlusOne (Gothenburg) and proudly presents a packed night of three contemporary amazing postpunk acts from Sweden and Denmark; Then Comes Silence (SE), The Foreign Resort (DEN) and local artist Thin Eater (SE). The evening also offers DJ The Fixx (PlusOne) and DJ Dini (Klubb Död).
About the artists:
Then Comes Silence (SE) - Since their formation a decade ago, Stockholm-based Then Comes Silence have flirted with death and melancholy in every word and melody. At the beginning of their career, they emphasized the psychedelic with a flavor of shoegaze and indie rock. Over time, however, they came to play more powerful uptempo songs in the darker scale that tasted of post punk and goth rock. Their intense and ragged guitar riffs and melodies have gone home with the audience in various dark alternative scenes outside of Scandinavia, especially in the Germans and in the USA. Now they are home after the first European tour in three years and two intensive tours in the USA from coast to coast and north to south. Then Comes Silence were the first to get a record deal with Berlin-based NEXILIS, a new label under Schubert Music Europe.
The Foreign Resort (DEN) - Post-punk from Copenhagen at its very best. Musically expressive, catchy and up-tempo are words to describe this Danish trio that mixes dark darkwave with explosive post-punk.
Thin Eater (SE) - Thin Eater got its start in Gothenburg 2022 – shaken out of a black cloak with the scent of goth and post-punk. Unafraid of the minimalist but at the same time with a strong attraction to a more melodic tone. Electronic rhythms and horror film samples meet driving guitars and life-affirming vocals. The roots of the music come from the pioneers in the late 70s, but the gaze is firmly fixed on the future. To a hypnotic fund of jazz masters, drum machines and reverb pedals, we move together with Thin Eater into the night. This is no ordinary journey – it is a portal to another world.
Resonsibilities:
Booking of artists and DJs, logistics and administrations including travel arrangements and accomondation for artists and DJs, catering, liasing with venue regarding technical equipment and staff requirements such as security, producing marketing and promotional materials for visitors (print and digital/SoMe), translation, press and team onsite and DJing (DJ The Fixx, PlusOne).
