Overview:
Klubb Död (Stockholm) collaborates with PlusOne (Gothenburg) and proudly presents The Devil & The Universe (AU) + support Anadyr (SE).
About the artists:
THE DEVIL & THE UNIVERSE (AU) – The Devil & The Universe is now looking back on nine years of band history. In 2013, Ashley Dayour and David Pfister founded the band, which Ezechiel completed to become a trio. In the beginning, the band focused on musical experiments with magical systems. It is still firmly inscribed in the band's DNA. With their mix of soundtrack-like sounds and driving beats, their goat masks and unmistakable humor, which is especially evident in their visual presentation, they drummed up a loyal fan base. The latest album “GOATopia” was released in January 2022 and the result is electronic with thundering drums. It is krautrock and spoken words that captivate you and your imagination. After a successful gig in Stockholm last fall and frequent playing around Europe in 2025, we finally have the opportunity and the luck to have them here on the best coast, don't miss it!
ANADYR (SE) – Anadyr is the Gothenburg-based duo of Emma Bergstedt and Johan Hellqvist. Both have previously released music in other constellations, but it was during the pandemic that this duo really found the key to their dark, atmospheric electro music. You can find elements from the darker sounds of acts like Massive Attack and Depeche Mode mixed with a retro:ish touch from classic Anne Clarke and the like. This really makes Anadyr stand out in today's music scene. They take their own path together without following any of today's standard clichés. The first two singles “Two Hours Daylight” and “No Fear” from the first album “22 Hours Darkness” which was released in 2022 have both been very well received. Even though this is the band's debut album, it has a touch of world class. On their second album “Devouring the Self” (released in 2024), they continue to develop and explore a fantastic mix of dark emotional electronic landscapes, trip hop, electronic pop and experimental music.
