Description

Overview:

Tinitus & PlusOne in collaboration with Kraken finally get Eddie Bengtsson and Marina Schiptjenko (Page, SE) live on stage here in Stockholm! After a well-received performance at Electronic Summer in Gothenburg this year and with 30 years of electronic craftsmanship in our luggage, we are treated to a musical treasure rarely seen, including the latest album and single Krasch!

About the artists:

Page (SE) - Formed in 1980 by Eddie Bengtsson and Marina Schiptjenko, soon joined by Anders Eliasson, the band quickly gained underground cult-status releasing many singles such as "Dansande man", "Som skjuten ur en kanon", "Blå fötter" and "Som en vind". Though most of their important influential work was released in the 1980s their first album, the self titled Page, was released in 1991. Page continued releasing music throughout the 90's but is still most fondly remembered in the Swedish synthpop scene for their early singles, especially "Dansande Man". Though the band has never officially disbanded, it has been remarkably quiet since a performance at SEMA (Swedish Electronic Music Awards) in 1999 when the band promised nothing new would ever be released under the name Page. However, a compilation covering their two decades of work was released in 2000.

Vile Elecrodes (UK) - They initially formed through a mutual affection for early synthpop, delta blues, horror film soundtracks, rock n roll and miserable indie bands, but our sound has probably been equally influenced by crap dead-end jobs and an unhealthy obsession with analogue synthesizers. The band has released 6 EPs and 1 album, the latter of which took them a billion years. They have toured with OMD, as well as supporting John Foxx & The Maths, Melt Yourself Down and Michael Rother. Vile Electrodes are beautiful noise. Like high heels on thin ice. Whip cracks on latex. Flickering neon signs. Car crashes on concrete overpasses. Long lashes behind dark glasses. The desire to escape reality through dressing up and dancing to pop music has always been a reason to start a band. Perhaps we can start a revolution!
