About the artists:
Emmon (Stockholm, Sweden) - Sweden's electro queen Emmon, alias Emma Nylén, has now returned to the EBM scene after a 5-year hiatus. After releasing 4 standalone singles under the working name 'Under construction', Emmon is now back to reclaim his throne with brand new single 'Purebloods', featuring post-punk icon Emanuel Åström of Agent Side Grinder. "The song is about trying to take responsibility for feelings and actions in our age of incels, misinformation and conspiracy theories. To take a different perspective and dare to challenge yourself on a personal level to do something about your own little bubble." Emmon saw the light of day in 2001, originally created as an art project during Emma's studies at art school while experimenting in the sound lab. With her explosive one-woman shows and engaging DJ sets, she quickly took her place at the center of the electroclash genre on alternative scenes in Sweden, entering the music industry by producing sought-after remixes of famous Swedish acts such as The Knife, Melody Club & BWO. After several years of touring as part of the popular synth band Paris, her long-awaited and intensely hyped solo album 'The Art and The Evil' was released in 2007 on Wonderland Records. Since then, Emmon has been crowned Sweden's electro queen, released 4 full-length albums and completed numerous tours, club and festival performances.
Kitka (Sundsvall, Sweden) - Kitka is doing its first gig in Gothenburg, however, they have toured extensively after the pandemic, and in 2022 the band will bring their new album "House of K" to no less than six different countries. Since 2018, the Sundsvalls duo has traveled with their electronic pop all over the world (including Stockholm, Copenhagen, London, Japan and Iceland) and built up what they call the Kitka family. Before the latest album, the duo decided to collaborate with a number of different musicians to shape and paint the soundscape with more colors. They still have both feet in the electronic dance world and "House of K" creates a wide range of emotions. From playfully melodious pop melodies to crystal clear trap beats, "House of K" draws inspiration from a variety of genres that together create the unique Kitka sound.
Facket Strejkar (Gothenburg, Sweden) - Facket Strejkar is doing its first live gig on home ground, Gothenburg, after great success in, among other places, Berlin, which is their second "home". Juno Records describes their music (first EP with Blyga Violer, Kolatorsk and Svit & Sprit in 2018): "This surely the best amalgamation of electro and dubstep that is currently on the scene, and we expect plenty of imitators to come busting through real soon.” "We have no style - we are Facket Strejkar. Even our friends can't pinpoint what we do. We mix Aphex Twin with Fad Gadget and Prince with Alison Moyet and Autechre with Erasure and DAF with Neil Landstrumm. Taking the electronic music bit by bit together, scene by scene, sound by sound – just add water and stir.”
